Custom Professional Resume

Does this sound like you?
Did you know a recruiter will typically
spend just
15 seconds or less reviewing
your resume? It
must be awesome!
Maybe you don't have a resume yet and don't know where to begin. Regardless of your
situation, I can create a custom professional resume for you that will catch a recruiter's
attention. I've read literally tens of thousands of resumes, so I know what works, and what
doesn't!
review your new resume and request any
changes you want to ensure you're 100%
satisfied with the results. Within two busi-
ness days of your sharing with me any
changes you may want, I'll send your final
resume plus a second version (plain text)
for downloading to places that won't
accept a more formatted version, and I'll
also mail to you four hard copies of your
new resume (on beautiful Classic Laid
paper) so you'll have quality copies to
bring with you to in-person interviews.
An effective resume must be clear and concise, and let
a recruiter quickly and easily determine exactly what
your experience and qualifications are, what you want in
your career, and most importantly, what sets you apart
from the dozens or even hundreds of other people
applying for the same job. Believe it or not, a recruiter
will typically spend
less than 15 seconds per resume
on the first round of reviewing th
em, so yours must grab
their attention
so you're not eliminated.

If you've submitted your resume to jobs but didn't hear
anything back, it's probably because your resume was
too weak to impress the recruiters, and was put onto
their 'Thanks, but no thanks' (TNT) pile. And remember,
once you submit your resume to a company, it's in their
systems forever and you can never take it back.
Testimonials

"I wanted to send this brief email to say
thanks for all you’ve done in helping
me find a new job. As an update, I
accepted a job as a Sr. Electrical Engi-
neer at Smithson Engineering, and I
can’t tell you how excited I am to start
there on Monday. As you know, I had
been unemployed for more than 17
months following my layoff from Alliant
Tech Systems, and now I can finally
get back to work and provide for my
family. The coaching session we had
and the resume you created for me is
what really made the difference, and I
really don’t think I’d have this oppor-
tunity if it weren’t for what you did for
me. My family and I want to extend our
since thanks, Roxanne; I’m so glad I
made the decision to ask for your help.”
Ted Gelson

“I LOVE it! It’s perfect!! I'm replacing it
this morning in all the places I had
already posted my old resume. You
have no idea how much this means to
me. I was told by a few friends and an
employment agency that my resume
just wasn't very strong, and maybe
that’s the reason it didn't jump off all
the piles of resumes, for all the jobs
I've applied for...and now it POPS!!!
I’m very happy with the results, and
I’ll highly recommend your services to
others! Thanks so much.”
Jan Christensen, CPA

“Wow. I didn't really know what to
expect but I decided to take a chance
and have you create a new resume for
me, and I'm so glad
I did! I had applied for jobs for 5-1/2
months with my original resume but
only received two company inquiries.
Now, with the resume you created,
I've had five companies contact me
in less than three weeks. I've had two
in-person interviews with two
companies so far, and they've
both asked me  to come back for a
second round of interviews.
This has been simply amazing.”
Adam Pandell

“I just can't get over how great my new
resume looks! The contrast of before
and after was amazing, and I can
honestly say I gasped ‘Oh my gosh!’
when I first saw your version of my
resume. It's so incredible, and makes
me feel hopeful that now I can actually
finally find a job and get hired. I really
can’t express my emotions!”
Jennifer Bjoraker

“Roxanne, you’ve presented my
achievements so effectively that I’m
now receiving attention from potential
employers at a rate like I’ve never
experienced before. This has really
been truly a rewarding experience.
I also want to let you know about a
phone call I received. I had applied to
a company about three weeks ago and
they sent me an email to say I wasn’t
selected, but two days ago they called
me. They found my new resume online
and wanted to speak with me about the
same opportunity I applied for
previously. I’m just so surprised
at all the attention I’m getting now.
Thanks so much!

How It Works
We'll have a phone conversation that
usually lasts up to 30 minutes so you can
share with me the details of your educa-
tion and employment history, and the
direction you'd like to go in your caree
r;
you can also share the specific challenges
you've been encountering. If you already
have a resume, I'll ask you to send it to
me, but if you haven't created one yet,
that's not a problem. Either way, I'll provide
you with a custom professional resume
within three business days in a format
that's visually appealing, and that
effectively highlights your s
trengths and
attributes, and catches the interest of
recruiters. You'll
have an opportunity to

How to Get a Cheap Resume
Did you know you can get a resume made
for just 20 or 30 bucks? It's true. Just go to
eBay and you'll find plenty of them. So how
can they create a custom resume so
cheaply? It's usually one of three scenarios
  • They plug your information into a
software package which then spits out a
resume. The software deals with the
format only and doesn't touch the
verbiage, which is obviously the most
    critical aspect of your resume.
  • They outsource your information to
someone in a foreign country who does
the work for pennies on the dollar.
  • If they do in fact create your resume
themselves--and put in the same amount
of time and effort as me--their hourly rate
then turns out to be $5 or $6 an hour. Is
that the person you want to trust with
    your professional resume, and your
    future?
Resume-Writers: They're Not All the
Same
Perhaps you've seen ads online for people
who write resumes, and there are a good
number of them out there. So what makes
me different? What do I offer that they
can't?

Many of those people will tell you they've
taken a class that taught them how to write
a resume, and at the end of the class they
received a certificate. Well, it's nice to know
they've taken a class, but what experience
do they have in actual recruiting? In my
years as a Senior Recruiter I've read
literally tens of thousands of resumes and
interviewed thousands of people; I've also
been in
strategy sessions with the hiring managers
to create job descriptions and to determine
what attributes we want in our candidates,
as well as deciding which candidates we'll
look at more seriously and which we'll
eliminate.

So what's the difference between
YOU and
those certified resume-writers? Not much,
except, of course, that class.
Do you know what the real purpose of a resume is? Most people think it's to get you a job,
but that's not correct.
The only purpose of a resume is to catch a recruiter's attention, and to
get your foot in the door for an interview.
That's its only purpose, and I can't overstate how
crucial it is because you have one chance--and one chance
only--to impress a recruiter!
What would it be worth to you to find jobs and actually get hired?

Think about it. If you continue doing
the same things in your job search,
you'll continue getting the same results.
Is it time to make a change?
  • You're tired of submitting your resume and never getting a call back.
  • Other applicants are getting more attention than you are; they're actually getting hired...
    and you're not.
  • You've decided now is the time to step up to
    your A-game.
Sample Resumes
Starting with actual existing resumes,
these examples were totally reworked
in both appearance and text to create
the finished versions.
The real cost of a weak resume is your wasted
time--and most importantly,
missed opportunities.
Truly, your resume can make or break your chances
for success, so it
must impress the recruiters!
